When you load Windows software the default directorys are C:

But when you look into the driver setup in either device manager or disk management the drives come up as (depending which Windows you booted up) C: (Vista or XP) and Vista or XP). The computer will mark the drives from C: to Z: (if you needed it to) but when you boot up either operating system then it will always show up as C: drive (sometimes), and the other drive will default back to the drive. Confused? some people are until you get to know why Windows does this.
Hope this helps you.
