Visually alert user that Caps Lock has been depresses

You can use the accessibility options to ‘flash the active caption bar’, ‘flash the active window’, or ‘flash the desktop’ whenever the caps lock, num lock, or scroll lock keys are depressed. I find that flashing the caption bar is most effective.

These options are available via:
start, control panel, accessibility, keyboard (click togglekeys) and also click the ‘sound’ tab, and click ‘use soundsentry, then choose which warning method you prefer.

Now everytime you depress any of the listed keys, the active window caption and border will flash, alerting you.
