Hi,
I have a Antivirus server in Server VLAN,which is in default VLAN ID 1.this AV server IP address is 172.16.5.179 255.255.0.0.(AV is Symantec)
In L3 Switch the Inteface Vlan 1 is configured with the IP address 172.16.1.1 255.255.0.0.
Then there is a VLAN named deaprt 1,VLAN ID 500,there are 60 users are there in this VLAN 500.In L3 switch the interface VLAN 500 is configured with 192.168.100.1 255.255.255.0,all the VLAN 500 users are having GW as 192.168.100.1.
In AV server route is added for 192.168.100.0 255.255.255.0 through 172.16.1.1.
Now I am able to ping the AV server (172.16.5.179) from the VLAN 500 user (192.168.100.10).
But AV auto updates are not happening from the AV server.All the VLAN 500 users PCs are equiped with AV client software.(symantec Client)
Please help me to get the automatic updates from AV server.
