vmouse.vxd not responding – aghhhhhh!

by apitsos . Updated 25 years, 8 months ago

I’ve TRIED several different ways to solve this, But none worked.
This is what I see in the device manager : “This device is not working
properly because WINDOWS cannot load the file (vmouse.vxd) That loads the
drivers for the device (code8).”
The file is there but windows cannot load it
I tried reinstalling windows, Scanned for viruses.
I tried extracting the file from the win98 CD with SFC
I tried removing the device and let windows find it and also tried manually
installing it.
I even tried patches from the web that are supposed to fix “.VXD”
errors….None worked.
I tried copying the file to vmm32.vxd and the system folder.
I tried installing intellipoint software and any other mouse software I
could find.
I checked the bios settings.
Last but not least I tried several different mouses.

If anyone knows of a solution to this “vmouse.vxd” problem PLEASE let me
know.

Thanks in advance
