I start evaluating between different given solutions including asterisk, cisco comm manager and MS com services.
Indeed the Asterisk being open source, and with a lot of features makes it very competent to look at, but how practical is to use in an enterprise domain with little support . Off course knowledge base is well written and thanks to all the community work for extending their support . Digium can be another solution but again makes it very costly affair . ??…
There is no doubt that the software is providing great features at no cost and even includes advance extensions to the smartphone. But in real world scenario after deployment support can play a very important role in decision making for or against any given IT tool.
