Volume control properties

How can I reset and set the volume properties for the Windows XP, I am especially troubled with Wave/MP3 balance which is far right by default and (except for Windows MediaPlayer) always sets back to it and I can not change it.

Open Sound and audio devices in control panel and adjust it from there. Also check your other audio devices if you have any.

It may be because of the uncompatable Audio drivers and software.Right click on the "Mycomputer" Icon and select "properties" and go to " Device manger" verify the multimedia drivers etc if you found " ? " mark at multimedia /sound /video /game controler etc , then try to reinstall / update the drivers.

If you can give more details about mother board make / Sound card / Game card make etc it will be easy to find out the solutin
