Vpc32 has caused an error in LDVPTASK.OC

laptop Win Me was just installed with the norton antivirus 2006 and the first scan was tried. It showed the message below
“Vpc32 has caused an error in LDVPTASK.OCX.”
“Vpc32 will now close.”

May someone out there give me a hand, pls~~~~

That version of Norton’s isn’t compatible with ME so that is your problem. The specifications and minimum requirements are here

You’ll have to uninstall it and try a different AV Scanner the AVG one is free and works well on ME so that may be worth a try. Provided you told the sales person that you required a AV product for ME you should be able to get a complete refund on the purchase price of Norton’s 2006.
