I need to access hosts on a private network via ethenet (my company’s dial-up is too slow) I have the resources to build a box wit h 2 NIC’s and give one an IP on the private side and the other a public IP. What would be the best avenue? OS type? 3rd party software? will w2k pro do it? I don’t want to have to buy 3rd party software if I can help it. I’m a Linux/UNIX novice but know my way around it. Is that an option? Primary concern is that only the IP’s from the outside world i.e. my IP on myDSL from home have access. I’d welcome any thoughts/solutions thanks
