Hi,
I'm running a winnt4.0 platform.I have 95&98 clients connecting to the network using vpn. They logon to the internet w/aol.. It works fine. I'm trying it w/at&t as the internet provider, and I have problems connecting to the network. Wondering if I need to do something different. Any would be appreciated.

It's always possible that the new ISP is either blocking a port used by the VPN (say, UDP Port 500, used by IKE) or is NAT'ing your clients' IP addresses, which can also cause problems with IKE packets.

You're best to ask the ISP if this is the case.

Your ISP's routers or internal routers or firewalls might be filtering GRE packets. To establish a PPTP tunnel, the client and server exchange GRE packets, and some ISPs disable external GRE packets because the ISPs use GRE internally to manage routers. You may need to check with the ISP to determing if this is the case.
