I have a user which will be starting to work from home on large projects. He is located 500 miles from our office. His boss wants him to download items (mostly graphics) from our network on a daily basis. Additionally the boss wants to know the time this user is connected to our network. Dialing in through a modem is not an option due to the file sizes.
We are thinking that if the user has a cable modem using VPN or something simular that that may solve the problem. What about security?With a cable modem the user could get a different IP each time. How would we block unauthorized access?
