We have set up a VPN (sonic wall) for a client with all laptops. W2K server with W2K and 98 clients. everyone connects to the network thru the VPN fine, can ping, see network data, and even get mail from Outlook2k but when they try to send email outlook tries to dial out to send the mail. they are already on the net with a dial up account and this causes them to have problems. Now what I would like to know is, am i missing a check somewhere in Outlook that forces outlook not to dial for mail….IE is set not to dial!! Any help would be great.
