    VPN Connection

    Locked

    We have connected the HO & Branch Office thro IPSec VPN. & it is Site to Site VPN

    The connection status is shown as connected.

    Sitting at HO I am not able to browse the Branch Network. Ping to branch office’s server is working.

      Network neighborhood does not cross vpn

      If you need to access a specific system, find it by the IP address and map to it.

      The MS protocols that give you network neighborhood are to inefficient to be sent over a WAN connection.

        NETBIOS over TCP IP

        Some VPN routers will allow you to transmit NetBIOS over a VPN link. You may want to make a server at the HQ a WINS server and then assign a WINS server to clients either by DHCP or manually modifying the TCP/IP properties of the NICS. Under the NIC properties you should enable NetBIOS over TCP/IP.
