vpn connection problems

By mwildrick ·
Created a VPN connection in Windows XP. Connected to the VPN HOST. Problem seems to be that my internal private network ip range is the same as the internal ip range of the vpn host. Everytime I try to run a telnet app. to the vpn host, it's trying to connect locally (not to the remote) Any help???

vpn connection problems

may b u can try this.
remove all the static ip addresses from your network card and use dhcp assigned ip from your vpn server , if u need to access both the networks , u may have to assign IP addresses from a different subnet from ur vpn server to the clients.
u will need to modify routing also in that case, type route print on ur client machine and try changing the default gateway to point to the vpn server.
