VPN Error after Upgrade

By stans ·
I recently upgraded my Boss's laptop from XP Home to Pro, and configured a VPN Connection on it so he can connect remotely. He is unable to connect.
During the upgrade from Home to Pro (XP) I did see some errors where windows could not copy some of the new files. Is there a way to get the files associated with VPN off the XP Pro CD and try to reinstall them? I have configured about 10 other users including myself with a VPN Connection, and never had a problem.

You could click on Start then Run and type in SFC and allow that to run and replace any corrupted or altered files from the upgrade CD but you'll loose any patches applied and installed Software.

The best option is to forget about trying to do an upgrade and just do a clean install of the OS and Software as there are way too many problems associated with Upgrades and they very rarely work correctly.
