VPN - I get lots of error codes

By milty592003 ·
I was able to log in to my district's VPN to access gradebooks etc. Now I can't. I've worked on this for 2 weeks. I'm using a dsl router, fixed the zonealarm firewall to accept the vpn stuff...NOTHING!

I'm using I'm using IE version 6.0.2900.2180.xpsp_sp2_gdr.070227-2254

I also added this: the website to my "Trusted Sites" on IE because that was one of the "help suggestions" from VPN.

The installer launches... "The installer has been launched".... "Please wait while SSL VPN connection is established"...then the error message "The SSL VPN Client driver has encountered an error"...then " If the Cisco SSL VPN Client does not start properly, Click here to end the session cleanly"

This is what happens from the start to finish on my home computer according to the "manage applications" window.

Cisco Anyconnect VPN fix?

by milty592003 In reply to Cisco Anyconnect VPN fix?

Yes I did, finally! I uninstalled the VPN software in 3 different places on my hard drive. Then, I went back in as a new user and allowed them to download the software again. That did it. Apparently, they had made some changes over the summer, but nobody knew how to help me. So, that was my last resort, and it worked. Good luck!

Thanks for the tip. I scoured my hard drive for all files "cisco" are deleted all of them that had to do with VPN. I also searched through the registry and did the same.

Next, I went back to our VPN website which automatically downloads and installs the Anyconnect VPN client and everything is good now.

Thanks again,
TK

VA errors- what Cisco says and what to really check

by orbshield In reply to VPN - I get lots of error ...

Check in your device manager- you will most likely have duplicated network adapters for Cisco and one will be disabled (#2 should be enabled but the client will not use it and always tries to use #1)....

What Cisco says on the matter that will not fix it if it is the device issue.

AnyConnect: Corrupt Driver Database Issue

This entry in the SetupAPI.log file suggests that the catalog system is corrupt:

W239 driver signing class list " C:\WINDOWS\INF\certclas.inf" was missing or invalid. Error 0xfffffde5: Unknown Error. Assuming all device classes are subject to driver signing policy.

You can also recieve this error message and log message

Error(3/17): Unable to start VA, setup shared queue, or VA gave up shared queue"

And this log on the client

"The VPN client driver has encountered an error"
