VPN Internet

By picturethat ·
I am attaching to a w2k server thru a vpn, now I want to surf the web, by default w2k does not allow this. How do I make this work? I saw it at a microsoft seminar and it looked easy however it escapes me right now.

I'd disconnect from the VPN Client software (look in the taskbar and right-click on it and the left-click on "disconnect"), and surf the Internet through my local ISP (ie... not be connected to the Company's VPN network and relay Internet traffic through it).

In your VPN connection's tcp/ip>advanced>properties.
clear the "use network default gateway", this will allow you to browse the internet while connected to the VPN, however, it might prevent you from browsing the network using any comp names. You will most likely have to use ip addresses to connect to additional resoulrces in the LAN.
