VPN - Proxy vs DNS

By DW-NAV ·
I am using Starband Satellite for Internet connection and they are using a proxy to get to http sites. My company allows VPN access through Checkpoint. How do I connect up using VPN? My understanding from my administrator is that I have to be able to disable the proxy in order to use VPN. Is there anything I can do that will allow me to use VPN to connect to our DNS? This is not my area of expertise but I believe that there has to be something I can do to keep from having to go to ISDN. My download speeds are reaching 1324 Kbps now and I don't want to have to give it up. Please, help! I'm running Win2k Pro on a 750 MHz Laptop. I know this could be very detail oriented if there is a solution for this problem.
Thanks,

If you can configure the Proxy to open the port VPN is running on and map it to the VPN server then there should not be a problem other wise I dont know of any way.
