VPN with NT 4.0 and ADSL Modem

I have a small office network. The office has a windows NT 4.0 server, a NT workstation, and two windows98 workstations.Our office is connected to the Internet using an external 384 ADSL modem attached to one of the 98workstion running analogX as a proxyserver. HOW CAN I SETUP A VPN ON THE NT SERVER. The server does not have a public IP.

you can not do that with analogx.
The best way whould be to move the ADSL line to the NT server and enable IP forwarding if you want your vpn clients to be able to browse the whole nework.
then run a proxy program on the server so there is an internet connection or you can use a NAT program for the internet connection.
For security you will have to put some firewall programs on the server that will be connected to the internet.

I thought about that also. The modem is connected to my USB port on the 98 pc. Presently I thought NT4.0 does not support USB.

I have 2 options:
1.I'm not sure but i think there is conveter you can attach to your LPT port that gives you USB, but maybe NT does not support even that, again im not sure about this one.
2.switch to a pci modem or a external ADSL modem that connects to ethernet instead of USB, thats the way I use it (external that connects to a NIC).

There is no reason to stay with WIN9x for your internet gateway, since you have allready a WINNT server set that server up for the internet gatway, life will be much easier since WINNT is built for that type of job while WIN9x is not.
