I am a service provider. We are looking at the possibility of adding a vrf to a Cisco 7600 router with 1 gig of processor memory. The lowest available memory does go to 12%. The purpose of the vrf is to route traffic through a deep packet inspection box and then out to the internet. The router will be running 2 instances of OSPF and BGP in order to accomplish this.
Has anyone done anything similar and what were the results regarding memory usage and processor load?
