Hi,
I asked this in a separate thread without getting a response. My daughter has a PC running under W XP. I found she had very little space on her “C” drive and when I analysed the reason I found that System Restore was responsible for at least 70 % of the space used (I think it is a 10gb drive). I switched off Restore and this solved the problem, I switched Restore back on and it took about a week to use a significant amount of the drive again. I repeated the process and reduced the usage percentage from 12% to 2%, this slowed down the “gobbling up” but 6 months later when I looked it had filled up again – she is in Australia so I don’t see the PC that often.
Clearly this has a detrimental affect on the performance of the PC, any ideas why this is happening please?
Cheers,
Peter
