    I’m using w10.
    I don’t use the Msft store.
    I disabled Appx service.

    I don’t know what the thing does but it seems to be a busy little thing.

    As soon as I disabled it I got a nice bump in perf.
    YMMV.

      I think it updates apps like Edge or Paint 3D (and Candy Crush). There are a lot of apps and those (all or most) don’t update via Windows Update. While updating it’s busy.

        I think edge has a stand alone updater…..scheduled task.

        This appx service bumps the cpu constantly.

        I would think that if the service was checking my apps against the store apps for updates the internet would be busy…..it’s not.

        Until something negative shows up I’ll just leave it off and enjoy the extra perf.
