I use dial-networking with W2K to dial into a computer that accepts calls that is on WIN98.

I am able to dial in however the W2K request for a user name passworkd and domain name.

Under properties, option - user name and password is unchecked.

I don't quite understand your situation but here is a guess. When connecting to a W2K computer it will always ask you for a username and password. If you are having problems loging in with your Win 9x box try to remove all your *.pwl files and reboot. It should then ask you to log in. then you need to use an account that is already set up on your W2K machine.

Have you tried it without putting a domain name in at all?

-or - One alternative is to insert the computer name of the PC that you are attempting to connect to in the domain field.

Just a thought -

I have to agree with reply numbert two. If you specify the logon domain in properties, the PC (or domain) you are calling should see you as a member of that domain when you log on.
