Recently, I started running W2K on my workstation at the office. The office is networked through a UNIX box running Samba. I cannot log into that server. The exact error message I get is: “The filename, directory, or volume label syntax is incorrect.”. I have talked to the admin about this and he says there is nothing he can do. I would love to tell you what version of Samba the box is running, but I have no clue. The rest of the office is running Win98 machines. I have even gone to the Samba page to try to find and answer but with no luck. So any idea?
