W2k can I change the default VPN IP Port

by bjackey13 . Updated 24 years, 10 months ago

Ok, here’s the scenario:
At work I wish to access my home network, which is connected over a cable modem and is running a Windows 2000 Network (Native Mode). The Win2k server functioning as a NAT router also has VPN turned on for the incoming connection.
The problem is that my work firewall only allows packets out on certain ports (any other ports are auto-blocked). I need to know a: How to configure the VPN client to connect via a different port number, and b: how to tell the Win2k server to listen on that port number for incoming VPN connections.

Is any of this possible? For the sake of the question, assume that ports 1723 and 47 are both totally blocked by the office firewall.

Thanks!
Brian
