W2k – corrupt files

by rcoolman . Updated 24 years, 10 months ago

We build systems and have had a few problems lately with file corruption -esp. registry – on Win2k Pro systems. They all of a sudden won’t boot to windows and will reference some registry key is missing or corrupt – not always the same key. And ifyou restore the key, and chkdsk there will be several errors it fixes, but the drives themselves don’t seem to be bad. We are using WD 20 & 30 Gb Caviar drives and Gigabyte Mainboards. We have tried both with and without the Gigabyte IDE controller drivers. Any help out there?
