W2K DiskManager won’t allow Admin access

by sneeks . Updated 25 years, 6 months ago

While logged in to Windows 2000 Server as Admin (local or admin account), Disk Manager (in Computer Managment) will not allow access. I get the following error: ‘Access to Disk Manager on ‘server name’ is denied. You don’t have access rights to this service.’

I compared the Logical Disk Manager service to a working server and they’re set up the same (localsystem account). I even installed Win2K SP1 but it didn’t help. I’ve rebooted several times also – no luck.

This all started when Iwas unable to backup the server using Backup Exec – again it was access denied.

Any ideas??????
