W2K file permission combo.

By mronn ·
I'm trying to recreate a scenario on my W2K server that I have on my NT4.0 server. I need to set permissions on a folder such that a user (in this case the IUSR_<machine name> user) can open a folder but not see the contents of it. The user should be able to copy a file into the folder but not delete or rename anything that's already in there. On my NT 4.0 server the permissions are Special Access (W)(X).

In W2K I can't seem to prevent the user from listing the files in the folder without affecting the ability to open the folder.

Thanks,
Matt

I was able to add contents to a folder on w2k but not list or modify with the following permissions set to allow: Read Attributes, Read Extended Attributes, Create Files/Write Data, Create Folders/Write Data, Write Attributes, Write Extended Attributes.
