W2K networking icon hidden

I have hidden the networking icons in explorer, from security policies I think. I can't get it back cos I can't find it again! Please help.

Do you mean Network Neighborhood, Network,Explorer shortcuts? Make sure desktop Icons haven't been hidden locally by right clicking desktop properties.Try changing to classic start menu. Right click Start Properties Classic Menu. then try thei next if none of that works.

From any of the affected devices you can run either gpresult, or RSOP. This will let you look at the affective policy as it is applied to that device. it will tell you if the shortcuts still show as being hidden by Group policy or not.
