w2k only recognizes 128gb of 300gb sata hard drive

I bought a 320gb Maxtor SATA II/300 to use for data only. My first SATA experience.

I used fdisk to make 5 partitions using percentages and it shows each partition at correct capacity.

BIOS recognizes full 320gb capacity.

Windows 2000 pro service pack 4 disk management only recognizes it as 128gb.

Maxblast only recognized it as 137gb (Maxblast not used) and Belarc Advisor shows it as 137gb.

I have an Intel D945GCCR motherboard and P4 3.2Ghz processor with HT. One 80gb PATA hard drive.

I have a 160gb PATA hard drive in an external USB enclosure that I use for backup and it’s recognized complete.

If all else fails, if I use a SATA to USB converter would the 320gb be recognized complete?

Thanks to anyone who can help.
