    W2K Pro keep retsart after shut down

    Recently we have upgrade our NT pc to W2K Pro w/ Service Pack 3, all of them are fine except 2 pc will restart even we have select “Shut Down”, anyone know what’s wrong and how to fix it? Thanks!

      try this:

      right-click My Computer/pick Properties/Advanced tab/Startup and Recovery button/uncheck box that says Automatically reboot.

      The auto reboot feature just brought up is to auto reboot after a system failure. This is not what you are looking for.
      Open regedit , go to edit — find. Type powerdown after shutdown and let the engine search. Change the registry value to 1

      I found that the problem is caused by Norton AntiVius, we have installed the AntiViurs 5 which is come with IBM PC. Is there anyway I can fix it?

      Try take out network card. Is it reboot again? Sometimes W2K problem in shutdown when it upgrade with SP3. One of the reason is network card.
