W2K Resource Kit

By tech ·
I'm looking for some opinions or experience with the Win2K resource kit (professional). I've not yet installed it. Is it worth it and what do you get?

The resource kit is a reference of material and utilities that apply to Win2k ,that is not the full version that you get by purchasing the book,I donot waste disk space with loading resource kits, their may be tools that may be of help that you wantto load on your HD.Look at it as a library pertaining to OS information.

If you can get the full version (we get it with our MS Technet Subscription) and you need to do network administration it's worth it. It gives you a lot of tools some of which only run under a command line. You get Net management, security, debugging, diagnostic, scripting, and remote tools.

It's helped us a lot running our network.
