    W2K Server and Verizon DSL

    Locked

    by smh1 ·

Ok, I have never tried this before so here goes. I am working on a W2K server that allows 4 workstations to connect to it through windows authentication and a hub. We have just purchased Verizon DSL and I am having troubles. I have placed a Linksys router in between the the Westell modem and the server. Here is the thing. If I have only a workstation plugged into the router I can connect to the internet. However, once I plug in the server to the router, nothing will connect to the internet. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Even if I have to redo some of the network setup.

betcha its dns problem. see if forwarding dns requests to internet on server fixes it. do ipconfig on workstations before and after server is plugged in
