W2K Server Delete

I have a w2k server, xcopyed from an old system NT40 to new system I now need to remove the copy, most files deleted but some will not let me access/delete them, I have tryed changing owners - will not let me. Any Ideas?

The system may be using them (it thinks so anyway), thats why you can not delete them.

reboot the server , press f8 and choose recovery console (if you dont have it you need to install it first).
then use the dos prompt and navigate to the files and folders and delete them.
