I have a Win2000 Advanced Server & 2 Win2000 Pro workstations.
I setup IIS on the server & allow the workstations to go through the server to the internet.
Of course the above worked for awhile with a request from a workstation causing the server to dial the isp & then logging off when the workstation was done.
Sometime in the past 2 weeks something changed. Now the server phones the isp as soon as it’s booted & stays online. If I tell it to disconnect it will, but then phones out within several minutes.
I can’t find out what’s phoning home. The event log shows it phoned out & was successful, but not what caused it. The workstations are powered off, so it’s definitely the server.
I tried loading Languard.exe to track, but itfails to bind.
Any ideas or software that could help?
Thanks,
Rick
