W2K SP3 and Proxy II Client

I am running MS Proxy II on NT4. The Proxy Client worked fine on W2K workstations until we bought some with SP3 already installed. Now, the install complains and won’t run if installed. We need winsock for some apps so this is a problem. Upgrading to ISA is out of the question right now too. Suggestions appreciated!
