I have a number of Win2000 workstations running on a Novell Network, when accessing the Printers Folder &/or trying to print to a printer the machine hangs for periods of up to 5 minutes. There are a number of other machines running NT4 on the same network & they have no problems. Both OS’s have the same Novell Client installed, am printing to a print queue. There are a number of similar printers all setup exactly the same on the network, W2K will print fine to some but not to others & different W2K machines have problems with different printers. There seems to be little logic to the problem as it does not occur to the same printers on each PC. Am wondering about protocol conflicts or similar. Uninstalls & reinstalls of printers & drivers does not seem to have any positive effect. Would like to resolve before the whole office migrates to W2K & my life becomes hell with printer problems!
