W2K & XP Service Pack Installation

By wwatkins ·
When pushing out a service pack installation using Group Policy, can you use one policy to push out both the W2K SP3 and the XP SP1 (my users are split nearly 50/50 between W2K and XP)or do I need to create an OU for the W2K machines and one for theXP machines and apply the service packs separately?

W2K & XP Service Pack Installation

Techrepublic had a recent article discussion about this very subject. Check out more at this specific web link:

(Take out any spaces, if they happen to get in there).

It might be a pain to divide your users into OU's based on their OS, but I believe that may be the only way to deploy a unique Hotfix or Service Pack to Both Win2000 and Xp machines.

Best of Luck!
