I have an issue where I need to update print drivers on a print server. The main issue is that the print spooler stops, at random times (not random, b/c its one or two printer out of 60 that are causing the crash). I have already done a whole mess of regedits, which has fixed a few of the printers… However there is about one or two that are still causing a hang up.
So I have been instructed to update the print drivers from version 2 to version 3. Delete V2 drivers after V3 have been installed.
I have asked around, googled, and still I have yet to find a decent “how to”. Other than to go to each manufacturs site find the driver and update it that way.
My question to TR memebers, is there a Repo or a .zip somewhere in MS’s KB’s that shows the “how to” and provides a majority of the v3 print drivers? Or does anyone have a quick “how to” they care to share? Any help would great!
