W32/vetor-a virus....

By ---TK--- ·
Has anyone had any experience with this virus?

I have yet to tackle it, and there appears to be very little information on the net about it.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Edited: for a couple reasons...

Virus.Win32.Virut.q [Kaspersky Lab]
W32/Virut.gen [McAfee]
PE_VIRUT.XO [Trend Micro]
W32/Vetor-A [Sophos]
Worm:Win32/Brontok.R@mm [Microsoft]
Email-Worm.Win32.Brontok.A [Ikarus]

There is no references to conficker and I haven't tested this removal tool. MBAM could possibly get rid of it as well as it has been around for a couple of years.

The removal tool is located here:

I was almost positive that there was no ref. to conficker... thanks for the information, that was/is more than what I have at the moment... Im going to give the tool a shot... and try a couple other things. If I get it fixed I'll post up the fix! Thanks again!

someone needs to take control or you will end up in a bit of strife. Times like this you shouldn't have to battle with office politics.
