W32.Blaster.Worm

By voldar ·
Hello all, I would like to know how can I build a batch file so that every time a computer logs on the network the antivirus removal tools such as FixBlast.exe would run. I also need some guides about how to run every hotfixes on the users machines so that they'll be up to date.
I have a network which consists on W2K server and W2K, XP, W9x computers. Thanks in advanced.

go to the dos promt and type cd\
and then edit fixblast.bat.
That will becaome your batch file.
edit assume that you out the fixblast.exe also in the root directory of the pc, the line in the batch file would be c:\fixblast.exe
and save it.
put that fixblast in the startup folder of all users so it will run as soon as someone loggs into the pc.
Another way of doing it is to put the file fixblast.exe in the netlogon folder of the w2k advance so that it will run also as soon as somebody logs in. (less work, but would only run for nt based systems not w9x systems)

For information on how to update the systems automatically check the following 2 links.

If you have any questions let me know.

Thank you for the answer - I solved it by using a security policy - but I would not do without your help pointing me to a batch file content. (I am not very good on creating batch or script files).
The batch file is like:

\\server\shared_folder\fixblast.exe /log=\\server\homefolder\logfile /start

Hope that example helps you too :). And about W9X computers - this specific virus atacks only W2K and up .. none of the W9X or WMe, so .. this is what I was looking for.
