On our Win2K server it’s set to syn time with an Internet time source (USNO). However, it’s been at least 2 months that these two events have been in the System log everyday, every 45 minutes:
ID 11 The NTP server didn’t respond
ID 31 Attempt to set date priort to 1995 aborted
I have searched the Microsoft Knowledge Base for these two ID’s, but found nothing. I have found articles in other sites that said these problems are related to firewalls (NTP’s UDP port 123 is not opened), whichis not our case (they are opened). I can ping the Internet time server successfully. Don’t know why time is not synchronized successfully. Anyone has an idea about this?
