W98SE hangs on boot in IBM ThinkPad A20m
LockedI have an IBM ThinkPad A20m in which I decided to install Win98SE in Spanish from the bottom (formatting the disk, etc). Everything work fine till I decided to install a PCMCIA network adapter in one of the ThinkPad PC Card slots. Win 98 hangs on boot when restarting after the NIC drivers installation. I guess that is something related with the PCMCIA slots drivers (Texas Instruments PCI-1420), because W98 only installed the 2 PCMCIA controllers and not the PCMCIA card services. My first question is: That means that W98 is not using 32-bit protected mode drivers to handle the PC card slots? and the second, of course: How can I stop using the real mode drivers and install the protected mode ones and the PCMCIA card services? Thanks in advance.
