We have a computer that was used by someone who was dismissed for using the ‘net to view inappropriate material. Somehow whenever the computer reboots, it resets the home page on Internet Explorer to an inappropriate site. I have tried manually editing the register, but it seems to go back to the undesireable keys upon re-boot. It will not however if you start-up in “safe mode”. This leads me to conlude that there is something imbeded in the startup routine. Is there any way to isolate theoffending line short of rebooting several times in step mode guessing which lines not to run?
