This seems like the place to complain.
Am I the only one who gets this?
It seems every client has a so called “computer expert” on staff, or has a brother, etc who is an expert. They feel threatened by you and they challenge and complain about every decision that they are paying you to make. I have seen a few in my 13 years, but this one takes the cake. This office is a branch office from a company that I have done business with for years, and serviced almost all of their brach offices and their main location. Now it is time for a WAN and I got the contract. But, I have found the office (branch) from hell. They think they are computer gods.
One of the many crazy things the local computer experts (in this case 2) argued with me was the difference between BackOffice and Office (Word, Power Point, and so on)-They thought they were the same thing. They even argued about the need for antivirus software and a decent backup. The local computer wannabee almost got physical over the Backoffice thing. The main location has failed to do much about it and I still have equipment to install out there.
Anybody have any advice?
