Plenty of options...

Here's a topic many IT pros may have different opinions on, but most would be fine. If you don't have a server, then I imagine you will need to manage the backups independently on each workstation. If this is not an option, then some sort of server app (running on a workstation) or even a remote monitoring app (Keseya, Zenith, etc.)can be used to manage backups. You will also need to decide where the backups will reside. A NAS device will most likely work, again...others may have better recommendations. As far as software goes, Acronis can't be beat IMO. Plenty of options there and Acronis provide image based backups. Another solution I have used is from Lockstep, called "Backup for Workgroups". I was impressed with the quality of support I have received from Lockstep, considering I had never heard of it until I ran into it on a client server.

To sum it up, decide how you want to manage backups, where the backup files get saved, and a procedure for restoring. Acronis is my favorite in most situations. =]
