WARftp

By IT Support Services Manager ·
I am considering using WARftp as my FTP server on a Windows 2000 server running Apache. Has anyone ever used this program? What are it's strengths and weaknesses. Would you recommend this or another program. Thanks for any help you could give me.

I use Serv-U-FTP by Rhino software (Rhinosoft.com)at my workplace. I find it very easy to setup and it is very flexible. You can easily specify specific directories and lock down the users to that directory if you like. It has an excellent monitoring window where it logs all those who enter your site. I think you'll like it alot. The new version which I upgraded to this week also supports SSL.

You can download and try it out for free for like 30 days.

I have two systems using Apache with WarFTP.
I found it vrey easy to install and configure. I was up and running in no time at all. As far as freeware FTP Server software goes I have found it to be one of the best. I did try a couple of others quite a while ago and picked WarFTP.
So far I have been using it now for two years with no problems at all.
