I accidentally spilled water on my laptop. Soon after, I started to here a fizz sound, hopefully not the circuits burning. I then immediately turned everything off, took the battery out and tried to dry everything I could. I then put it in front of a fan the entire night and woke up to try to see if my Dell Inspiron 6000 was ok. When I turned it on I noticed that it was a little slower than usual. Then a screen popped up saying “Generic Host Process has encounterd a prblem and needs to close”, and it refers to Win32 services. When I click to see what the error report contains, the error signature states:
szAppNane: svchost.exe
szAppVer: 5.1.2600.2180
szModName: wuaueng.dll
szModVer: 5.8.0.2469
offset: 007cb9a
Im not sure if this has anything to do with the water being spilled, but why would this show up, my laptop was running perfectly before? Once a choose not to send the report, I try to use my laptop normally, but it will not let me, it will take forever to open something, and sometimes it doesnt even open programs. Is there anyway this can be fixed? If the water did burn something, is that fixable. Please, any help that you can provide will be very appreciated.
Thankx
