Ways to backup iPhone music to Macbook Air

By christinalevinee ·
I have all my songs on my iPhone 7. Is there any way to copy them from your iPhone to my Mac for backup. The songs are ripped from my CDs and downloaded from internet, so I can't use iTunes to do that. Thanks in advance!

However, some challenges come out when moving music from an iPhone device to the computer, particularly when iTunes's limited music transfer functions act as barriers to your migration. One of the likely reasons for Apple to have taken such a restrictive approach to this is to combat piracy and thereby maintain good relations with the music labels that are currently selling their content via Apple's iTunes Store. However, there are many legitimate reasons why a user may want to copy music from iPhone back to computer, so you need to turn to a 3rd-party program here. That is also why iPhone to Computer Transfer and iPhone to Mac Transfer comes to here.

With it, you can backup iPhone music on computer in a simple way by keeping the original perfect sound quality. Cool, right?

Copy music from iPhone to the Mac via iTunes

Step 1. Connect your iPhone to Mac and run iTunes.
Step 2. Make sure "disk use" has been enabled in iTunes.
In the iPod management screen, scroll down to Options and check "Enable disk use.".
Now your iPhone will show up as a drive on your Desktop.
Step 3. Then backup iPhone data to Music

But,I recommend you use a third part tool to sync or backup your iPhone music. If you use a iPhone transfer tool,it won't write the data.

You can learn this guide about how to transfer music from iPhone to Mac, from Mac to iPhone
