I have a WBS question in regards to Project Management. A professor assigned an ongoing project for a 400 level IT Project Management class. I asked questions yet the responses were generic. The following is required for the project:
Create a computer system for personal or professional use. Describe users of the system, purpose, how often it will be updated, and any other information.
Based on the description, create a WBS for the creation of the system from concept, to implementation, to support. You must have 5 Level 1 tasks, 4 Level 2 tasks for each Level 1 task, (for a total of 20 Level 2 tasks for the WBS. Include 10 Level 3 tasks for the entire WBS.
I decided on doing accounting software for a mock company using something like Peachtree as an example.
For my Level 1 tasks, I have concept, software design, development, rollout, and support. Other than that, I have very little to go on for the remainder levels. If anyone can give advice I would appreciate it. I am not here for homework answers. I am here to learn from some IT people who have experience.
