My colleague suggested me WD10JPVX 22JC3T0 hard drive for my PC. I am a student and I have to install 64bits Autocad, Python, MATLAB, and Solidworks. How do I know if it is compatible with my computer?

Surely the shop can tell if it is compatible with your computer. But that’s 99.999% certain.

Do you want to use this drive as a c:-drive, or as an additional drive? And why a hard disk and not an SSD?

And why didn’t you buy the MTA18ASF4G72PDZ-3G2E1UI you posted about three days ago?

No one I know buys HDDs now. Not only that but this drive is 5400RPM suitable for maybe use as an external for backup.

If you need to make your PC go slow, this is the right drive for you!
